Credit cards are excellent tools for making last-minute purchases. When time is of the essence, a credit card offers access to the funds you need to get the gifts you need – now. With Mother’s Day fast approaching, here are some of the best credit cards that offer instant access to the full credit card number on approval:

The Best Credit Cards with an Instant Credit Card Number on Approval

Here are five of the best credit cards on the market for those looking to make a last-minute purchase and need access to an instant card number after approval:

The PayPal Cashback Mastercard® is an excellent option for a cash back rewards card that provides an instant card number upon approval. The reason? The card offers 2% cash back on all purchases anywhere Mastercard is accepted worldwide, with no cap on the total number of rewards you can earn.

After applying and upon approval, Synchrony (the card’s issuer) provides successful applicants with their full card number. This feature gives you access to your full credit limit (or, occasionally, half of the available credit limit) – and lets you add the card to your PayPal account or another mobile wallet (such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or others).

number upon approval. Venmo’s credit card is similar to the PayPal Mastercard in that it requires a Venmo account to apply and redeem cash back rewards. How the Venmo Visa differs, however, is in how it earns those rewards.

The Venmo Card earns up to 3% cash back on eligible purchases in the cardholder’s top spending category and 2% back on their next highest spending category. All other purchases earn a flat-rate 1% cash back. The bonus 3% and 2% categories include:

  • Transportation
  • Travel
  • Groceries
  • Entertainment
  • Dining & Nightlife
  • Bills & Utilities
  • Health & Beauty
  • Gas

Like other cards on the list, the Venmo Visa provides instant access to the entire credit card number allowing users to add their card to their mobile wallet instantly. This feature makes it an excellent card for making last-minute purchases for Mother’s Day – or any holiday or occasion.

Most Chase credit cards don’t offer an instant card number on approval. There are, however, a few exceptions to this rule, with two being the Amazon Rewards Visa and the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature cards.

Upon successful application, the Amazon Rewards cards offer instant access to the card’s credit line for use through Amazon only. While this isn’t the same as receiving a virtual credit card number for use anywhere Visa is accepted, it is still a great feature for those looking for a last-minute gift or purchase.

Amazon is the world’s largest online retailer, meaning whatever gift idea you are seeking -it’s probably available on Amazon. Even better, the company offers impressively fast shipping, so you can be certain your gift will arrive just in time – regardless of how last minute you leave it!

If you have an iPhone, you have Apple Pay. And, because you have Apple Pay, the Apple Card from Goldman Sachs might just be a last-minute gift purchasing superhero. The Apple Card is one of the most popular cash back cards on the market today – and just so happens to offer instant access to your credit limit through the Apple Pay mobile wallet.

The Apple Card earns cash back in the following categories:

  • 3% cash back at Apple and other specific retailers
  • 2% cash back when using Apple Pay
  • 1% cash back anywhere else

Of course, getting the Apple Card requires an iPhone, so Android users need not apply. Still, if you are one of the tens of millions of Americans with an Apple phone, the card is an excellent option for last-minute gift buying.

The Buy On Trust merchandise credit account is a lease-to-buy program where account holders can buy today and pay later. There is plenty of merchandise and catalog cards available, but for getting a last-minute gift, Buy On Trust is your best bet.

The Buy On Trust program offers leading brand names like Apple, LG, Bose, and more – with credit limits of up to $5,000 and flexible repayment schedules. However, unlike other catalog cards, account holders can pick up their newly-purchased merchandise at their local Best Buy store – instead of waiting on shipping.

One of the great features of merchandise cards, like Buy On Trust, is that they don’t require a good credit score. In fact, no credit history is necessary to open an account with Buy On Trust – all you need is an open and active checking account and three months of proof of income – that’s it. Looking for a last-minute gift buying aid and a tool to build your credit score? Buy On Trust might just be what you are looking for.
