In-Depth Review: LATAM Airlines World Elite Mastercard
The LATAM Airlines World Elite Mastercard from Cardless is a premium airline credit card that lets travelers to and from South American travelers multiply their miles quickly. The credit card offers up to 4X miles on purchases, three upgrade coupons per year, two LATAM Airlines lounge passes each year, and more – all for a $99 annual fee.
Welcome Miles Bonus
New accounts with the premium version of the LATAM Airlines Mastercard can earn 40,000 bonus LATAM Pass miles after spending $2,500 in the first three months. That spending bonus is fairly lucrative – worth almost three flights with LATAM – but carries a significantly higher spend minimum versus the no annual fee version of the credit card.
How to Earn Miles
The LATAM World Elite Mastercard earns 4X miles on LATAM Airlines purchases. However, as with the LATAM Mastercard, those miles aren’t earnable on in-flight or onboard purchases. This loophole is because these services are operated by a third-party vendor, meaning cardholders will earn only 1X miles.
The premium airline credit card earns 3X miles on dining and select travel categories. Cardholders earn two miles per $1 spent on restaurant purchases, plus 3X on ground transportation services, including taxis, trains, and subways. All other purchases with the card earn a single mile (1X) per dollar spent.
These bonus categories offer additional value versus the no annual fee card. That card earns a single point less on all eligible purchases, with the base earning rate remaining 1X miles per $1 spent on purchases.
LATAM Pass miles expire 36 months after they are earned.

How to Redeem Miles
Redeeming miles through LATAM Pass is easy. The LATAM Pass rewards program is one of the richest in the Americas, thanks to its partnerships with Delta and the SkyTeam Alliance. Points apply to travel with LATAM, LATAM subsidiaries, and LATAM codeshare partners, including their new partnership with Delta – the world’s largest carrier. Points also apply towards seat upgrades, additional baggage allowances, and other associated travel costs with LATAM and LATAM partners.
Beyond flights, points are redeemable towards hotel stays with partners, including Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors, IHG, Hyatt, and more. Points also apply to rental car hires with select partners and merchandise through LATAM retail partners.
Earn LATAM Qualifying Points
Both LATAM credit cards offer the chance to supercharge LATAM Pass Elite status earning. Cardholders with a premium World Elite Mastercard version of the card acquire QP at a rate of 20% of miles earned on qualifying purchases. LATAM caps this rate to 7,000 QP per calendar year.

Should You Apply for the LATAM Airlines World Elite Mastercard?
Overall, there is plenty to like about the LATAM World Elite Mastercard. The card’s $99 annual fee is fair, especially given the complimentary upgrades and lounge passes each year. Typically, airport longe access costs around $40 per person, per visit, so the annual fee is recouped with those passes – and that doesn’t even mention the welcome offer or the three upgrade coupons.
With everyday use, the Cardless airline card provides solid value that slightly exceeds the no annual fee version of the card. But that earning rate isn’t going to be what drives applications with this card – that will come from the lucrative welcome bonus and those upgrade coupons.
