Password management platform 1Password is branching out to offer its clients virtual credit cards. The new payment option will allow users to create virtual cards to make online purchases safer. Here are all the details of the new 1Password partnership with Privacy.com.
New Partnership means Greater Security When Making Online Purchases
Leading password management provider, 1Password, is now offering virtual credit cards. The new venture, in partnership with Privacy.com, allows members to create an unlimited amount of virtual credit cards for purchases made online.
The new feature is now available in the United States via the 1Password X extension for both the Google Chrome and Apple Safari web browsers.
What Are Virtual Credit Cards?
Virtual credit cards are temporary credit card numbers that a user generates to make online purchase safer. Since these cards are easily removed or canceled, they are an excellent way to prevent information or financial loss due to the hacking of an online merchant.
Virtual cards are a popular option for those who want to take advantage of a free trial but don’t want to worry about incurring charges if they forget to cancel the offer before the free period ends.
