The Miami Marlins are the latest sports team to join forces for an exclusive co-branded credit card. The new Miami Marlins Credit Card from Cardless offers Marlins fans the chance to “take their fandom beyond the ballpark” thanks to impressive everyday rewards and no annual fee.
Cardless Launches New Miami Marlins Credit Card
Fintech Cardless is continuing to make waves in the sports world, thanks to a new co-branded credit card with the Miami Marlins. The new Miami Marlins Credit Card is the company’s first foray into the world of Major League Baseball, following on earlier efforts with English soccer giants Manchester United and the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Miami Marlins card is, like other Cardless offerings, a Mastercard product that features no annual fee and no hidden fees. And, like the Manchester United and Cavs credit cards, earns accelerated points on gameday and Marlins-associated purchases.
The card earns 5X points on Marlins tickets, 3X on dining (including takeout and delivery), groceries, and drugstores. All other purchases with the card earn a single point per dollar spent, with the rewards taking to form of Home Run Rewards – good for things like gift cards (with additional points value), statement credits, and more. Interestingly, the card also earns 5% cash back (not rewards) on concessions and retail purchases at Marlins Park (now loanDepot Park).
New accounts also enjoy a decent sign-up bonus of 10,000 Home Run Rewards points after making just $1,000 in purchases within the first 90 days of opening an account. This bonus differs from other Cardless products, which offer official jerseys as a sign-up bonus.
