What We Like About the Card
The Amex EveryDay® Credit Card has numerous best features that set it apart from other credit cards. The ability to earn 2x points at U.S. supermarkets, the 0% introductory APR, and the flexibility of the Membership Rewards® program are all standout benefits. These features make the card appealing to many consumers, from frequent travelers to everyday shoppers.
Things to Consider
International Use
The biggest limitations of the EveryDay Card are the limited acceptance of Amex abroad and the addition of a foreign transaction fee. American Express has long suffered from limited acceptance in certain locations, particularly outside the United States. While American Express is widely accepted within the U.S., it may not be as readily accepted internationally, making the card less useful – although American Express has made great strides.
The card also charges a foreign transaction fee of 2.7% of the transaction in US dollars. Combined with the limited acceptance you have a one-two punch of travel troubles.

Should You Apply for the Amex EveryDay® Credit Card?
For a card with no annual fee, the Amex EveryDay Credit Card is a great value. The card offers less value than the Amex EveryDay Preferred Credit Card, but that card also charges an annual fee of $95.The ability to earn double points for supermarket purchases will appeal to everybody – after all, we all eat – and 1 point per $1 spent on all other eligible purchases will sweeten the deal. That rate is on par, though slightly less impressive, than cards with the longest intro APR periods – namely the Citi Simplicity® Card and Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card. This card is the ideal travel card for anyone who is looking for a way to earn rewards while they pay down a previous balance.
