AT&T Points Plus Card from Citi Review
The AT&T Points Plus Card from Citi, part of Citi’s ThankYou® rewards program, earns up to 3X points per dollar spent on eligible purchases with no annual fee.
Earn up to $340 Back in Your First Year
New accounts with the AT&T Points Plus Card can earn an impressive $340 cash back in bonuses in just the first year.
First, new cardmembers can earn a $100 statement credit after spending $1,000 in the first three months. Second, AT&T Wireless customers receive a $20 statement credit every billing cycle they spend $1,000+ on their AT&T Points Plus Card. This second bonus equals $240 over 12 months, making the Plus-version of the AT&T Citi credit card a lucrative earner for its first year.
The great rebate savings last beyond year one, however. Cardholders earn a $20 statement credit after spending $1,000 or earn a $10 statement credit after spending between $500-$999.99—in a single billing cycle on their AT&T Points Plus Card. This lucrative rebate requires the associated AT&T consumer postpaid wireless account be enrolled in paperless billing and AutoPay at AT&T with the AT&T Points Plus Card as the preferred payment method.
Earn Up to 3X ThankYou Points on Purchases
Like the old AT&T Access Card from Citi, the AT&T Points Plus Card earns ThankYou Points for every dollar spent. On eligible purchases. Cardmembers earn accelerated rewards on select purchases:Â
- 3X ThankYou Points at gas stations
- 2X ThankYou Points at grocery stores, including grocery delivery services
All other purchases with the card earn 1X ThankYou Points, including AT&T products and services. Citi ThankYou points never expire if the account is open and active.
The 3X on gas station purchases is particularly enjoyable. Still, the 3X is less than the 4% cash back that comes with the Costco Anywhere Visa® Card, also by Citi. However, that card requires an active Costco membership, a $60/year additional charge.
The double points on groceries are equally pleasant but not exceptional. In fact, it is the same rate as the unlimited cash back with the Citi® Double Cash Card.
The 1X points on AT&T products and services are particularly good for anyone who uses  AT&T wireless, providing points where typically none are found. Additionally, having both services through AT&T makes it easier for cardholders to manage their expenses and rewards, as all of their purchases are in one place.
The card offers plenty of accelerated value for the AT&T customer who wants to save big but doesn’t want to pay an annual fee.
How to Redeem Rewards
Points are redeemable for cash back as a statement credit, direct deposits into bank accounts, or through the ThankYou Rewards Portal for gift cards, travel, or through Amazon for purchases (Shop with Points at Amazon.com).

Should You Apply for the AT&T Priority Plus Card from Citi?
The ThankYou® Points structure of the AT&T Points Plus Card makes it a simple, effective credit card for anyone who uses AT&T Wireless services and wants to save big on gas and grocery store purchases. As a Citi cardholder, you’re automatically eligible for special access to exclusive events and presales via Citi® Private Pass®, and Citi® Concierge assists you in making purchases on everything from gifts to dining to travel.
The card doesn’t have an annual fee, which is welcome, but it does charge a foreign transaction fee if used abroad. For repeat AT&T clients with a penchant for a no-frills credit card and who value rewards points, then, the AT&T Points Plus is a nice offer that builds on the already solid stats of the old AT&T Access Card.
