BJ’s Business Elite™ Mastercard®
The BJ’s Business Elite™ Mastercard® is a compelling cash back business card from Capital One and BJ’s, a leading wholesale club chain. The card replaces older Comenity-issued BJ’s credit cards, including the BJ’s Business Perks Plus® Mastercard® and BJ’s Business Perks Elite® Mastercard®.
How to Earn Rewards
Like the personal versions of the BJ’s Capital One credit cards, the BJ’s Business Elite credit card earns its best rewards at BJ’s locations across the United States. Companies earn 5% back in rewards on most BJ’s purchases, with only a select handful of transactions not qualifying for those maximum rewards:
Shipping | Sales tax | Bottle deposits | Alcoholic beverages |
Cigarettes and smoking products | Lottery tickets | Gift cards | BJ’s gas |
Online optical purchases | Membership fees | Warranties or protection plans | BJ’s B2B and Global Sales transactions |
Besides BJ’s purchases, companies can earn quality cash back with every swipe, tap, or online order. Your business will enjoy unlimited 2% cash back in rewards on all other purchases – not bad for a no annual fee business card.
The 5% back in rewards on BJs purchases is great – but like the consumer cards, the business version of the BJ’s Mastercard suffers from lacking a “gas” bonus category. Sure, companies save 15¢ off/gal. at BJ’s Gas, those savings only apply if you and your employees pump gas exclusively at BJ’s Gas locations. If not, there are better business cards, such as the GM Business Card™, which earns an impressive 3% in Earnings on purchases at gas stations, restaurants and office supply stores, and 1% on all other purchases (in addition to 5% back in Earnings for GM dealership parts, accessories or service purchases).
How To Redeem Rewards
Redeeming rewards with the BJ’s Business Elite Mastercard is simple. Because the BJ’s credit cards are co-branded store cards, your redemption options are limited. Business cardholders can redeem rewards when shopping with BJ’s –at BJ’s checkout in-store or online.
Please note that you must have a minimum balance of $10 in rewards to redeem, and your purchase must be at least $10 to qualify for points redemptions. Rewards never expire for the life of your account.
World Elite Mastercard
The BJ’s Business Elite Mastercard is a full-fledged World Elite Mastercard product. World Elite is the premier tier in the Mastercard portfolio, offering companies the very best of protections, benefits, and more:

Should You Apply for the BJ’s Business Elite™ Mastercard®?
The BJ’s Business Elite Mastercard is a decent business credit card if your small or medium-sized business is a BJ’s member and you spend heavily at the wholesale club. That’s because the card offers little beyond NJ’s savings. Sure, the 5% back on BJ’s purchases and 15 cents of savings at the pump are great – but only if you pump that gas at an eiligble BJ’s Gas location – if that isn’t your brand, there are plenty of other options to consider.
