The Gist
The USAA Secured Card Visa Platinum® Card requires a security deposit from $250 to $5,000 and this acts as the card’s credit limit. Interest is guaranteed to grow from the security deposit, and the cardholder can keep the money as long as they don’t default on the payments. Military members who are on deployment/PCS can receive a 4% APR on all balances for up to 12 months. The USAA Secured Card Visa Platinum® Card also doesn’t charge any foreign transaction fees. Cardholders can also enjoy benefits such as free collision damage waiver coverage if their rental vehicles get damaged or stolen, and they can get the warranties extended on manufacturer’s or U.S. store-brand items.
